Apes Hill, a prestigious golf and lifestyle destination, sought to provide its members and guests with an exceptional sensory experience throughout its new clubhouse facilities. This required:

• Property-Wide, Multi-Zone Audio: Distributed, high-quality audio tailored for distinct environments – from the retail Pro Shop and high-ceiling Performance Center to the expansive 20th Hole Al Fresco Restaurant and the visually stunning Noisy Cricket Sports Lounge & Terrace.
• Flexible Music Management: The ability to stream multiple audio sources concurrently and allow each zone to independently select its preferred music.
• Aesthetic Integration: Audio solutions that blended seamlessly with the luxury aesthetics of each space, particularly in high-design areas.
• Intuitive Control: Easy, granular, and discreet volume and source control for staff to manage the ambiance effectively.

Our Solution: Precision Networked Audio Engineering & Advanced Collaboration Tools

Our team engineered a bespoke audio-visual solution that met the unique demands of each area within the Apes Hill Clubhouse. This comprehensive system is built on a robust Dante network, leveraging the client’s provided VLAN, with the Biamp Tesira Forte system serving as the intelligent “brain” for all audio routing and processing.

Centralized Audio Management & Multi-Stream Music:

• Biamp Tesira Forte: The core of the entire audio distribution system, handling all digital audio networking, processing, and routing across the property.
• Dante Network Integration: All audio zones are seamlessly connected via Dante over the client’s dedicated VLAN, ensuring pristine digital audio quality and flexible signal distribution.
• Bluesound B400S Streaming: Music is provided by a Bluesound B400S 4-channel streaming player, connected to the Tesira system via analog line cable. This allowed the client to run four distinct music streams via SoundMachine.
• Zone-Specific Control: Crucially, each individual zone or area can independently choose which of the four music streams to play using local touch panels, offering unparalleled flexibility and customization of ambiance.

Distributed Audio Zones:

1. The Pro Shop & Bathrooms:
   • Design: A single audio zone serving both the retail area and adjacent restrooms, equipped with its own rack.
   • Technology: Dante endpoints feeding a 70V analog amplifier, managed by the Tesira Forte.
   • Innovation: Volume differentiation achieved by applying a lower tap setting on the bathroom speakers, allowing the Pro Shop to maintain its desired energy without overwhelming the smaller restroom spaces.
2. The Performance Center:
   • Design: Two distinct zones (interior and exterior) for this golf instruction area, with its own dedicated rack.
   • Power & Coverage: Dante endpoints and a 70V feed, with speakers tapped at 60W to provide ample headroom. This ensures clear and impactful sound throughout the large rooms and outdoor areas, despite high ceilings.
3. 20th Hole Restaurant (Al Fresco Dining):
   • Design: A sophisticated outdoor dining experience with varied speaker types and discrete sound integration.
   • Technology: Ceiling speakers around the bar area complemented by discreet, omnidirectional planter speakers seamlessly integrated within the surrounding vegetation.
   • Control: Two independent controls allow for easy and granular management of volume between the bar and dining areas, enabling fine-tuned ambiance.
4. Noisy Cricket (Sports Lounge & Terrace):
   • Design: A premium audio experience for a space featuring stunning ocean views, with a focus on aesthetic purity.
   • Terrace: Evenly spaced ceiling speakers provide consistent outdoor sound.
   • Sports Bar (Indoor) – The Invisible Experience: We deployed Sonance Invisible Speakers, integrating 4 subwoofers and 8 “tops” directly into the architecture.
     • Impact: The result is rich, detailed, and full-bodied sound that is completely unseen, offering unparalleled aesthetic purity.
     • Technical Excellence: Tops were 70V, integrated with the main system, while 8-ohm subwoofers were wired with robust 10-gauge cable, ensuring full power delivery and maximum acoustic performance.

Professional Boardrooms (Clubhouse & Administrative):

• Design: Two high-stakes meeting rooms requiring top-tier audio and video conferencing capabilities.
• Audio: Biamp Tesira setups, featuring Biamp TCM-X beamforming microphones and integrated ceiling speakers, ensure crystal-clear audio capture and delivery for all participants.
